About Me

The voters of Division 4 (Bell, Bell Gardens, Boyle Heights, Commerce, Cudahy, East Los Angeles, Florence-Firestone, Huntington Park, Lynwood, Maywood, Montebello, Monterrey Park, Pico Rivera, South Gate, Walnut Park Vernon) elected me, Sergio Calderon, to serve as your public servant and represent you as Director on the Water Replenishment District Board of Directors.

I have dedicated a large portion of my life to plubil service. I have served as Mayor, Councilmember, City Clerk and Director. I am a working class citizen, dedicated to public service. Since 2004 I have worked as a Teacher/Teacher Adviser in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult and Career Education (LAUSD-DACE). In this role, he has guided and helped prepare individuals from 18 years of age for college and careers.

In addition, I am also a Practical Nurse. In this role he has helped:

• Individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, live the most independent lives possible, via Adult Residential Facilities. 
• Individuals who required medical surgery through their recovery process, in the hospital setting.
• Supported pediatric and geriatric patients manage their health to avoid hospitalization, via home health.
• Supported various patients and their families through end-stage disease as they transition from this life to the next, via hospice.   

Business acumen, the importance of the bottom-line, and the responsibility of supervising, managing, and training individuals are also matters I am experienced as a proprietor and operator of CPR Angeles, a company which trains those who we trust (Parents,  Peace Officers, Emergency Medical Services, Child Care Workers, etc.) in Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid. 

I live work and serve in the community, and understand our  peoples' everyday challenges. I understand because I share in our communial experience every day.
